Mississippi Bar Honors Jackson Office, Amanda Jones

The Mississippi Bar Association recently announced that Amanda K. Jones will be awarded the Distinguished Service Award this year for her outstanding leadership and accomplishments on behalf of the Bar's Young Lawyers Division Katrina Disaster Legal Assistance efforts. This award is given annually to "an attorney or lay person for outstanding achievement and/or a significant contribution to the legal community. The recipient must be cited for specific actions which occurred no longer than five years immediately prior to the date of presentation.”

A second award given by the Mississippi Bar Association is the Access to Justice Award which is given to a lawyer who has made significant contributions to securing access to the legal system for persons who need it. For the first time in history, the Access to Justice Award is being given this year to a law firm, rather to an individual. In recognition of the efforts made by all of the lawyers in our Jackson office in a variety of projects, this award is being presented to Bradley Arant. Both of these awards will be presented at the Mississippi bar convention in Destin on July 8.

Amanda is a partner in the Jackson office of Bradley Arant and focuses her civil litigation practice primarily on products liability defense, insurance sales practices cases, and commercial litigation in both state and federal courts.
