Six Mississippi Lawyers Listed in Best Lawyers in America
Seventy-eight attorneys from the law firm of Bradley Arant Rose & White LLP have been selected for inclusion in the 2007 edition of The Best Lawyers in America, including six from the Jackson office: Roy D. Campbell III; David W. Clark; Margaret Oertling Cupples; W. Wayne Drinkwater, Jr.; J. William Manuel; and Stephen L. Thomas. In addition, Mr. Drinkwater is recognized for his 10th year of qualification as one of The Best Lawyers in America. Published by Woodward/White, Inc. of Aiken, S. C., the latest edition of this well-respected publication brings continuing national recognition to the firm which traditionally ranks very highly in such listings.
Among the nation’s 250 largest law firms, Bradley Arant was ranked Number One for the past two years in the overall percentage of its attorneys being selected for inclusion in the 2005 and 2006 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Percentage rankings among the major firms for 2007 will be published later this fall.
The 2007 edition marks the thirteenth issue of The Best Lawyers in America, first published in 1983, which has come to be regarded as one of the definitive guides to legal excellence in the United States. Because Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which 18,000 leading attorneys throughout the country cast more than a half million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in similar practice areas, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor.
